Ms. Lanczycki is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology followed by a Master's degree in Elementary Education. She is originally from Connecticut where she spent her childhood years. Her desire to help others and share knowledge led her to a career in teaching, while her strong Catholic faith led her to Saint Patrick Academy.
In fifth grade, students officially transition into Middle School. In ELA, we will develop our reading, writing, spelling, and grammar skills, as well as reading novels throughout the year. In Social Studies, we will study American History and United States Geography. In Science, we will learn about energy and matter in organisms and ecosystems. In Math, we will dive deeper into decimals and fractions while starting a bit of algebraic thinking skills at the end of the year. In Religion class, we will cover the seven sacraments in-depth.
