The Sennott family was excited about their youngest son’s school. St. Patrick’s was close enough to mom Andrea’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire, law office that she could easily drop him off in the morning. The principal had been principal at the Catholic school two older Sennott children had attended, and even some of the teachers from that school were teaching at St. Patrick’s.
Hundreds celebrated the grand opening Sunday, May 13, of Saint Patrick Academy, which recently moved from Austin Street to 315 Banfield Road. “Three miles makes all the difference,” said Head of School Mark Schwerdt when asked about the impact the new 28,000-square-foot facility will have on Saint Patrick Academy’s education.
Families viewed the beautiful new campus of St. Patrick Academy on Mother’s Day, a fitting time, said Mark Schwerdt, head of school.
Saint Patrick Academy ended an era Friday with the last day of school at its historic campus on Austin Street. Students will enjoy their spring vacation next week, returning April 30 to the newly constructed, state-of-the-art campus at 315 Banfield Road.
