Meet the Team
Elizabeth Eby, DIRECTOR
Ms. Elizabeth Eby joined Saint Patrick Academy this past school year as the Middle School Math and 8th Grade Homeroom teacher. She is thrilled to work with campers of all ages in her role as Camp Shamrock Director this summer.
Ms. Eby grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire. She graduated from Villanova University (Go ‘Cats!) before going on to serve as a Teaching Fellow with the University of Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program. As an ACE teacher, Ms. Eby taught Middle School Math at a Catholic school in Los Angeles while earning a Master of Education degree from Notre Dame.
When not working at Saint Patrick Academy, Ms. Eby enjoys running, hiking, reading, and playing board games. She cannot wait to work with our energetic summer staff members, meet campers of all ages, break in the new gym, and go all out for themed dress up days this summer.
Nicholas Genkinger, Head Counselor
Hi! My name is Nick Genkinger, and I am very excited to be working and playing with your children as well as guiding them through various fun and faith-filled activities this summer. I am currently a Senior at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School and next year I plan on either attending the University of Pittsburgh or Providence College where I will major in Biology on a pre-med track. Throughout all four years of high school I have played basketball, baseball, and ran cross country. Outside of organized sports, I also love to play ultimate frisbee, spikeball, and ping pong.
I love working with children and these past two years I have been on two amazing service trips to help children. One was to Worcester, Massachusetts going into my Junior year where I got to help at a daycare for underprivileged children and we taught them various Christian songs, helped them throughout daily lessons, and played games with them. This past winter I went on a school trip down to Peru where we helped at an orphanage outside of Cusco. We helped paint at the orphanage and do various other chores and played plenty of soccer with the children. These experiences were life-changing for me and helped grow my love for working with children which have helped inspire my career path of wanting to be a pediatrician. The picture is me in front of Machu Picchu wearing a classic Peruvian llama sweater.
